Security Policy Optimisation

In the ever changing telecoms market new technologies are constantly being introduced and integrated into existing networks. This can result in the security policy becoming inundated with out of-date information such as invalid rules or incorrect host/network definitions.

Imtech Telecom Global’s Security Policy Optimisation service offers reviews of your organisations ‘best-practices’ and current security firewall policies. You will receive expert analysis and recommendations from our Professional Services consultancy team. They will provide an implementation plan to realign your security policy with your businesses objectives, ultimately making your environment easier to support and maintain.

This service is split into 3 different modules:

Module 1: Investigate – Imtech’s consultant will review your overall security policy with the relevant staff from your organisation. This process demonstrates how the firewall should provide protection and how changes should be managed.  A level of risk is associated with each finding and documented, providing you with a comprehensive plan for remediation and prioritising.

Module 2: Audit – Imtech’s consultant will review your firewall rulebase(s) against the industries current ‘best practices’ and your organisations security and business objectives. The consultant will work with your staff to review each rule individually and demonstrate whether that rule conforms to your organisations current security policy or if remediation is required.

Module 3: Review - Imtech’s consultant will work with your staff to review and make final determinations of whether and how each risk should be rectified, accepted, or otherwise addressed. Imtech will provide ‘best-practice’ guidance based upon vast industry knowledge and experience with other similar organisations. Your dedicated consultant will update and deliver a final document detailing all of the findings along with recommendations.
